Been a bit confused jumping from local unix and MS machines. Your tutorial was excellent! By the way, "trying to not let best be the enemy of the better" is a refrain that soothes my OCD.
Thanks again, looking forward to more of your work!

Re: Git For Windows Developers – Git Series – Part 1

Great tuto! I had the OS system restore CD sent to me by Dell and bought a 500 Gig hard drive. I put the new drive in and hit F12 to boot from the CD and nothing happened. A friend said the PC bios may not be able to "see" the new drive. What drive is compatible with this PC? I know it's old, but it still suits my needs.

Re: Dell Dimension 3000 – remove hard drive

I have a Dell Dimension 3000 Desktop.I want to know what HD should I upgrade to, since the one I have installed is full of space. The HD I that is in the PC is called WDC 400BB-00DEA0.And also how can I remove unwanted programs I don't want to have on PC.

Re: Git For Windows Developers – Git Series – Part 1

Great tutorial.. thanks for taking the time to write it up!

Re: Git post-merge hook to auto-fire rails migrations

Thank you Marcelo. Post updated.

Re: Git post-merge hook to auto-fire rails migrations

you can tweak it with git diff --name-only HEAD@{1} HEAD instead of git diff HEAD^

Re: Git post-merge hook to auto-fire rails migrations

Hi, Looks like this only works if the pull contains 1 commit, if it has many commits, if the latest commit doesn't have something on migrations, it doesn't do nothing.

Re: Git For Windows Developers – Git Series – Part 1

Thanks very helpful!

Re: Gitosis and Gitweb – Part 3 – Gitweb

You said you chose Bash so that you could take some time to learn it.
